Millet groats – 200 g
Potatoes – 300 g
Smoked or salted pork fat (salo) – 150 g
Onion – 100 g
Carrots – 100 g
Water or broth – 1.5 liters
Recipe
Cut the lard into cubes about one cubic centimeter in size for the dressing and fry lightly with finely chopped onion.
Put coarsely chopped carrots and other roots into boiling salted water and cook until half-cooked.
Then add potatoes, cut into bars, after 5-6 minutes - millet.
When the groats are almost ready, add the dressing of lard, onions, bay leaf, and herbs and cook until ready.
