Salted pork fat (salo) – 200 g
Garlic – 4 cloves
Black bread – 100 g

Scrape the lard to remove impurities or thinly slice off the top layer. Remove the husks from the garlic. Prepare a deep container and cling film.
Crush the garlic cloves as finely as possible. You can also use a special press or grater. Place the crushed garlic in a small bowl. Add salt to it. Pour the remaining spices into the bowl and mix well.
Sprinkle the piece of lard with the spice mixture and then wipe it thoroughly to absorb all the spices. Transfer the lard to a deep container. Cover with clingfilm or a lid. Put the lard in the refrigerator or other cool place for 2-3 days. After that, it can be frozen.
Cut the lard into thin slices and place on a plate. This appetizer can be served with croutons, black bread, or horseradish.
